The following is an overview of the Dataset Management UI in Nexus. We will explore the various screens and their functionality.

After having created a new dataset in Nexus, you can manage it using the Dataset Management UI. This UI is accessible from the Nexus homepage, by clicking on any particular one of your datasets.

If you have just created a new dataset, or if you have opted to try a playground dataset, you will be automatically redirected to the Dataset Management UI.

We will step through each of the screens in the Dataset Management UI. They include:

  • About: General information about the dataset, including a README, tags, and associated collaborators.
  • Settings: Settings that you control for your dataset, including collaborator management and the management of API keys for application integration.
  • Queries: A UI for directly querying and transacting against the data in your dataset. See our Cookbook of Query Examples for examples of queries you can run.
  • Notebooks: A UI for organizing and saving sets of queries, transactions, and notes, for your own use or to share with others.
  • Policy Management: A UI for managing the access control policies for your dataset.

Working with a New Dataset

When you first create a new dataset, you will be automatically redirected to the Notebooks screen with a Quick Start Guide notebook.

If you prefer to learn about working with data in Fluree through a hands-on experience, the Quick Start Guide notebooks is a great place to start.

Feel free to begin there, and visit this documentation as you need additional information!

The Quick Start Guide notebook will walk you through the following steps:

  1. Adding Sample Data
  2. Querying the Data
  3. Querying for Linked / Relational Data
  4. Issuing Advanced Queries
  5. Issuing Time-Travel Queries
  6. Leveraging Query-Time Semantic Inferencing
